| the mixture is compost 40 gravel 40 coconut husk 20 and sand... you told me that this soil mixture is not recomended for ficus,as i have repoted them a year ago so i will replace the soil in next repotting in spring. | |

| I was just wondering that with a change in the potting mix, the growth will be much better; important thing is very good drainage, which would encourage good roots and eventually will result in very good foliage. But as you plan to repot next spring, it's quite OK.
By the way, what is the day temperature there?
Here it is very hot, almost 38 deg Celius during the day, which is good for Ficus varieties.

| 40 deg C+? That's really very hot.... you are right, perhaps the coconut husk should be replaced with good garden soil.
