| thanks inaam for liking it, decreasing the size of leaves is big task,but after the age plant will start to produce small leaves. i have made a change in the plant will post pics soon. | |

| plant has attack of some kind of DOTS on leaves,i have used soap water and neem oil to cure it but faild,actually i dont want to use pestisites due to childs in home,any solution?what is this? | |

| These 'dots' are small insects called Scales...... these would cling to the leaves, and Ficus benjamina is very much prone to scale attacks, and would suck out the sap from the leaves.
Pls keep this plant separately so that your other Ficus or any thick leaved trees are not attacked.
As regards the remedy, I think soap water and neem water should work.... but Malatheon (insecticide) is the best and fastest.... but as you don't want to use, it's OK. I also don't use insecticides.
Another option could be, which I did to my F. benajamina, is to remove all the leaves infected with scales. And fresh leaves would come out soon without these insects.
