| in initial styling i was thinking about wind swept, but later i realized its not suitable for this plant.currently i am thinking about weeping style,as naturally branches are falling down. what you say ? | |

| Majed, if I may give my humble suggestions:
1) You are right to think that 'wind swept' would not be the right choice.
2) But I am afraid 'weeping' style would also not suit this specimen due to the texture of the succulent leaves...... plants with thin long drooping leaves would suit this style.
3) In your earlier pics of this plant (after the cat had messed it up) I could see that the trunk had an interesting bend, which could be the focal point of this tree. If you could post some pics showing the trunkline, I could suggest you some sketches for styling options.

| Salam. as i have noticed and suggested by respect senior members, plant dont have any attraction and trunk dont have any movement, so i decided to give the totally new look to plant. after examining for half hour i found that tree can get new look by just changing its angle and pruning the branches. i have planted it again in relatively big training pot and will spend few years in it. hope you will like the new look of tree. suggestions welcomed. regards | |

| Salam Majed,
Very good attempt! Now it has the making of a good future jade bonsai. The trunk line really looks nice now.....
Few suggestions, if I may make:
1) In this time of the year, the plant would produce too many shoots. Just see to it that the apex does not grow too tall.... keep it under control. This would create a compact and proportionate apex in comparison to the trunk.
2) Let the shoots grow for a few weeks or a month, and then prune the branches of the first and second branch. Don't let the branches droop too low as it would not produce auxiliary sub-branches.
Regards, Shaukat | |

| Salam Shaukat, its always helping from your side. i will touch the plant after few months as its too hot here and plant is new in pot. its under shade now.i will place it under full sun in next Feb/march and will feed it. Plant has started to produce shoots, there are lot of buds on trunk. i will cut the dropped branches in once plant got its roots firm in soil. regards | |
