how to bend the tree in style ?

hi, i am very new to this art just one week.i have visited the forum and saw some good tree. i want to know how you bend tree in these shapes.please help me.

you asked a very nice question about bonsai.
the answer is that we use wire to bend a branch or trunk of the tree make its shape or style.its simple just take a wire of 1mm and coil it around the branch that you want to shape or bend.remember you need size of wire against the size of branch or trunk.if you have thick branch you have to use thick wire and for trunk you have to use more thick wire.

ibrar just read the section mentioned above, and remember a bonsai is just like child don't stress them too much. you can bend a branch or trunk in different period,this hobby is not too fast you have to wait to see the results.

ibrar remember bend tree to extent that its look natural.
second its up to tree how much stress it can bear.dont try too hard to bend or shape you can do it gradually.
dont be in hassle. this hobby demands time to create a good piece.

Bending extent depends on the species and also to what extent the the tree can withstand the stress.
For example Bougainvillea branches are very brittle, and can snap very easily with the slitghtest bending movement. It needs extra caution to keep the stems from snapping.
On the other hand Ficus and Barringtonis sp. are quite flexible and one can attain considerably the desired bends/shapes with these species.
But the wires on Ficus gets merged/dug in the stem in a very short time..... so one has to be very observant to remove the wires in a month or two before the wire start to dig in. Barringtonia on the other hand are very strudy and flexible and the wires can stay even up to a year.

I would suggest you cut the branches of larger tree (not bonsai) and do the wiring/bending practice. Once you get the feel of it, you can apply the same to your bonsai.
