Has any 1 tried root over rock?or group/cluster form?plz share method

i have a tried group style last month by cuttings.still no response has come from plants,no shootings no buds.

its sad story,
all the plants died.but they did show the buds.i was out at hunting for two days,when i arrived back plants were out of tray due to some job by cats,i replanted them but non of it could survive.
often i faced this problem due to cats,any suggestion to keep save my plants by them?

I'm sorry to hear that the cats have messed up your group plantings.
I'm sure these must be stray cats..... who keep on running around and fighting at night! Can't suggest anything to protect the bonsai from their prowling.

brar just read the section mentioned above, and remember a bonsai is just like child don't stress them too much. you can bend a branch or trunk in different period,this hobby is not too fast you have to wait to see the results.
