My First Try

I took a cutting of this baby Jade from the large plant ( Posted Pictures previously) and when it rooted i gave it a try to see if i can care and manage to spend some time for the hobby. Well i did and luckly it survived too its more than a month now since this plant is in its small pot and doing fine. It is showing some new growth as well. Suggestions, Criticism, and comments are awaited. [img][/img][img][/img] . My hand for the size reference. Since it is my first try plz dont hesitate to guide me to consider all the auspects of Bonsai art.

good try DAK.Baby Jade are very vigorous and hard to die plants. you have choose a good branch for bonsai.as my expereince baby jade cuttings get roots in a month or two.failure chance are very rare.
it will be my suggestion to keep it in full sun for better growth,they grow well in full sun and let the plant grow freely for couple of years for a good style.

DAK, it is not a good thing to cover the soil with these marble chips. This would not encourage healthy root growth. As your plant is in the initial styling stage.... it needs to grow healthily.
